There is a sun that cannot be seen
There is a sea that drowns only yesterday
There is a world for me
There is a light that turns on only with you
There's a way to go
There's an abyss to bridge before dawn
There is a desert to cross
There is an island to be mapped
(Spoken words):
That field between day and night
Between the sun and the moon
Between reason and emotion
That field between you and me
Larks and owls
Oceans and gales
Flowers and arrows
That field where I live
There is a sun that cannot be seen
There is a sea that drowns only yesterday
There is a world for me
There is a light that turns on only with you
There's a way to go
There's an abyss to bridge before dawn
There is a desert to cross
There is an island to be mapped
I have a path with you
I have a path with you
A path with you
I have a path with you
I have a path with you
A path with you

about

All the sounds on this EP were recorded during the total lockdown of 2020 (I know I'm not very original, but that's the truth), and it has taken me all this time to do the mixing and mastering, between a house moving and various eventualities, and in general a radical change of life that has not yet concluded.
Everything was recorded in a room in the flat where I lived then (I'm not there anymore), a small room that my wife Patricia used as a dressing room. There, in a fairly small space, and surrounded by dresses and shoes, I was able to give rise to all these sounds that I present to you now.
Everything was recorded 99% with real instruments (the remaining 1% is the sound of the bass drum, which was simulated virtually: that's the only exception). Pretty much everything of what you can hear on this EP are actual sounds that I physically recorded in that room, for better or for worse. There is absolutely nothing produced with MIDI. There are also no virtual effects plugins, all effects were recorded with physical devices (pedals).
For many people it doesn't matter if you record with real or virtual instruments. For me it does. In any case, the most important thing is that I had a great time doing all this during the worst moments of the pandemic, it was like being a kid again playing with a bunch of weird junk in his grandfather's attic.
My wife Patricia, who in one way or another always participates in everything I do if only with her wonderful support, also actively participated here with a poem she wrote in those days and recited in the title song of the EP. Furthermore, she shared with me that spirit of childish play that I mentioned before, which was providential for both of us then and still today (for many years!)
The trumpeter Javier Manzanares also collaborated, who emailed me an arrangement for the “Feelgood drone-ambient” mix.
I made the album covers in the place where Patricia and I live now, where by the way we feel much better, and we hope that every day more. So, this EP has been made between two different places, that's why it will forever be part of the change of life that we have given together.

From a very young age I wrote stories and songs, and performed in many different alternative pop-rock bands. Currently
dedicating myself to music production for various media, I enjoy using the most varied old gadgets and toys to do things that others do with only a midi controller. (Sooo, but I can also do things with a midi controller, OK?)...more
Around 2018 I met The Lost Tribe Sound label's catalog and I was impressed. Seabuckthorn in particular, with its mesmerizing mix of acoustic sounds with rustic roots and ethereal, cinematic ambience. Enric deSombra
I'm sorry I didn't know the immensity of Michael Gira's work until 2018 (don't know what I had been doing until then!). This is one of my favorites, a big inspiration while I was recording "Un camino" Enric deSombra
I discovered them recently, they make me regain faith in youth! :)
They are very young but they know perfectly the genres they play. A solid and elegant work, they are not dilettantes. Love it Enric deSombra
Entirely analog, lush melodic pop with a tender heart from L.A. artist Human Barbie sounds bigger than the bedroom project it is. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 22, 2020
Melodic alt-pop in the vein of Soccer Mommy is driven by winding guitar lines and augmented with dreamy shoegaze elements. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 14, 2021
